Dua Upon Entering a Village or Town:
O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and whatever they shade, Lord of the seven earths and whatever they uphold, Lord of the devils and whatever they misguide, Lord of the winds and whatever they scatter. I ask You for the good of this village and the good of its inhabitants, and I seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil of its inhabitants and the evil therein
Allahumma Rabbas-samawatis-sabi wa ma azlaln, Wa Rabba ‘l-aradinas-sabi wa ma aqlaln, wa Rabbash-shayatin wa ma adlaln, wa Rabbar-riyahi wa ma dharayn. As’aluka khayra hadhihi ‘l-qaryah, wa khayra ahliha, wa khayra mafiha, wa a’udhu bika min sharriha, wa sharri ahliha, wa sharri mafiha.

The Hadith concerning the supplication upon entering a town is narrated by Suhayb (may Allah be pleased with him). He said that whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) entered a village, he would say upon seeing it:
“O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and whatever they shade, Lord of the seven earths and whatever they uphold, Lord of the devils and whatever they misguide, Lord of the winds and whatever they scatter. We ask You for the good of this village and the good of its inhabitants, and we seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil of its inhabitants and the evil therein.”
And that’s it
This Hadith is narrated by Al-Nasa’i in “Al-Sunan Al-Kubra” (5/256), Al-Hakim in “Al-Mustadrak” (1/614) who classified it as authentic, and Ibn Khuzaymah in his Sahih (4/150), and Ibn Hibban in his Sahih (6/426). Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar considered it as Hasan (good) as mentioned by Ibn ‘Allan in “Al-Futoohat Al-Rabbaniyyah” (5/145). Al-Haythami mentioned it in “Majma’ Al-Zawaid” (10/137) saying it was narrated by Al-Tabarani in “Al-Awsat” with a good chain. Shaykh Ibn Baz classified it as authentic in “Majmoo’ Al-Fatawa” (26/46), and Al-Albani authenticated it in “Al-Silsilah Al-Sahihah” (no. 2759).
